The House Miracle
So I said I'd post the whole house miracle and here it is:
Jer and I had been sorta(and I say that literally) looking for a house, and had looked at a couple for fun. Well we were going to seriously start looking in October of 2006. So anyway, we were driving by his Aunt's house one day and he was going on about how awesome it would be to have it (like he always does), and then said I'm gonna call the realtor and just see what she's(his aunt) asking. So we came and looked. Then we dreamed, I dreamed about the garden, and the kitchen(it's huge, I love it), he dreamed about the shop and all the possibilities, the girls dreamed about their own rooms(no more fighting hooray!! ya right), and Memphis dreamed about eating. LOL. Anyway, so he talked to the bank, the bank was not an option unless we could get the price down a lot because of the interest rate. So he talked about a small business loan, not an option because of the house. Then he talked to his dad to get an idea if his aunt would work with him, and his dad said, and I quote "She won't do you any favors!" So Jer called his cousin (who is in charge of his aunt's estate) and she was excited and started talking to her mom. Well not only did his aunt come down on the price she's selling it to us on contract so we can pay her a lot less interest, and don't have to worry about the closing cost, plus she agreed to let us rent until our house sold. God is so awesome.
So that's buying the house. Now selling our house:
:We put a for sale by owner sign in the front lawn and 3 days later we sold it for the asking price. God provides and there is no way we can take the credit.
The other neat thing is that it is such a witness to Jer's dad and his brothers, they all know his aunt and even the unbelieving uncle said it's God. Isn't that neat. I just love how God even when he blesses us let's us know it's not about us.

Today I feel like Clark Kent
Do you ever feel like Superman(or woman) in disguise??? I do!! :( Life in a blended family is very challenging, and I have to tell you I'm challenged almost everyday. You see I love this little girl as much as I could love any of my children, and because I love her I discipline her. Not harsh or cruelly, but by following the direction of the Lord. (not always, because I'm not perfect, but about 95% of the time) Every now and then I will hear that she has said that I am mean or that she doesn't want to be around me, stuff like that. I'm not exactly sure why I'm told these things, but I am pretty sure it's not for my good. It hurts. So today as I was showering(my bathroom IS my sanctuary) I spoke with the lord, and here is what we came up with: I am like Clark Kent was to Lois Lane, you see He loved her so much that when he was Superman he saved her when ever she was in danger, but then back at the office, he was a nobody, her Superman in disguise. In the same way, I(and not I alone) in this season in life, am saving Madison from becoming a horrible human being, yet I alone am the one she talks about. I do know however that when the time is right she will come to find out that as a child growing up, I have been her Superman in disguise. I have to keep dying to my selfish want to not teach her, I have to take the risk of not being liked, but I am willing. I know that she will become a respected young woman who will have a life wholly devoted to the Lord, that she will know who she is in Christ, that she will be a daughter of the king, and I know that in all this current trouble, SHE will have life and will be a light in this world. I have to remind myself that after all is said and done as she reflects on her life, she will know that the Superman in me is her Superman in Christ. Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Life is full blown!!!!
As most of you know we've moved a couple of months ago and we love it here. The kids have tons of room it's pretty close to being in the country without the gravel. (It's a Jer thing) The kids seem to be happy and content except the fact that I still haven't finished Madison's Room (It's been a month, poor girl)
LOL!!!! I need to finish her room!!!!!!! I'll post the finished project.
